Our team of IT lawyers provides prompt and focused advice on the issues that concern the users and providers of IT services, such as software license agreements, software business and development agreements, hardware and software maintenance, computer services agreements, back-up agreements.

Topical issues such as exercise and protection of rights in the internet context, e-commerce and distribution of digital contents are approached through a high level of knowledge and conceptual innovation. We advise our clients in connection with personal data protection issues and, in particular, we represent them in proceedings pending before the Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali). Specialized services include:

  • Revision of company policies to conform personal data processing to the applicable provisions in particular sectors (public, health-care, judiciary, journalistic, labour and social welfare, electronic communications, etc.).
  • Legal assistance to conform data processing policies to the General Authorizations in reference to sensitive data protection for special categories of Data Controllers. MPlegal also offers specialized services to public and private health-care institutes and to medical professionals who need to review their internal data processing policies for sensitive data that could reveal people's health status (including genetic data) and sexual orientation.
  • Legal assistance to ensure that data processing modalities adhere to the sector's deontological codes (data processing carried out by electronic communication and information services providers; required for social security or for employment management purposes; carried out for direct marketing or for sending advertising material; carried out on personal data coming from archives, registries, lists, acts or document hold by public entities; etc.)
